Augmented Reality iPhone App
24th July 2009..
This new app (yet to be approved from Apple) from acrossair.com called Nearest Tube uses the very latest technology that comes in the form of the new iPhone 3GS.
It uses the camera and the GPS built into the iPhone to pinpoint your exact location. Basically point it at almost any landmark in London and you will be able to know exactly where the nearest tube station is and what line(s) the station is connected to.
We think this iPhone app is fantastic – so come on Apple can we have it approved so we don’t have to carry around those tatty old A-Zs any more!?
One last thought – does this still work as effectively at night when most of us pile out of the pub and need to get our bearings?
