Expensive phone…free car

22nd October 2007..

Audi phone

If you thought that the i-phone would do it all, then take a look at the new Audi phone, part of the Metroproject concept.

The touch screen phone recently unveiled acts as an access authorisation system, navigation unit and audio and video player.

The device allows the driver to remotely activate the car’s heating before leaving the house, and when approaching the car, sensors open the door for you. You can also input sat-nav directions and upload your MP3s from the comfort of your living room.

Aimed at the lucrative super-mini market, which BMW has been enjoying with it’s own Mini, Audi has aimed to hit the market nail on the head with the new A1 and i-generation targeted phone.

Vorsprung durch Technik (progress through technology) indeed!

That’s right it’d only open its doors for the person with the phone.

I love the fact you can upload MP3s for your cars stereo from your phone anywhere in the world!
