Inspiring website designs

I’ve compiled a list of beautifully designed websites which have inspired me in the past and continue to inspire. Some of these sites are due credit for fantastic use of typography, photography, or simply innovative ways of presenting content and imagery.

The recurrent theme in many of these designs is minimalism. These website designs go by the less is more principle, removing unnecessary elements to direct focus onto areas of content that are more important, and thus delivering a more snappy and effective marketing message or website design.
