Pinocchio, whatever.

Pinocchio, whatever.

Last week, an almighty 1.5 million people filled the streets of Berlin, to witness a spectacle of epic proportions. Over a period of days a performance was put on by some truly talented French peeps. The Royal de Luxe street theatre production company put on a show out of this world entitled “The Berlin Reunion“. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the Reunion show featured two gigantic wooden puppets brought to life by the troupe, one called the Big Giant, a deep-sea diver, and his niece, called the Little Giantess. The storyline revolves around the fact that the two have been separated by a wall, built over years by land and sea monsters. The Big Giant has returned after many years from a long and turbulent expedition successfully destroying the wall that separated them. The performance follows their journeys slowly navigating the streets of Berlin to finally meet one another.

The pictures speak for themselves, truly magical, if only I were there to see it.
