The marketing team at Completion, a West Country interior design business, needed a website to show off their design flair and stunning work, to help them compete in an increasingly competitive market.

Our easy to navigate site design uses a range of wallpapers to set the scene, but keeps their imagery as the hero, to show off Completion’s talent to the max.  To check out their site click here.

Every good graphic designer worth their salt will be familiar with the Italian legend that is Massimo Vignelli. From designing the iconic transportation graphics for the New York subway in 1972, to the American Airlines identity and branding in 1967, his amazing design skills have inspired millions of us (sometimes without even knowing it!). Much to our joy, he has released a free 96 page downloadable book that is, literally, a design bible. It covers everything from grids to textures to binding, and is well worth a read. 5 things to get your brand ahead in 2009

Make sure your logo is fresh, current and contemporary. If it’s looking out-of-date then perhaps consider some subtle changes that bring it into 2009.

2. Innovation

Are you keeping up with the market? Make sure you keep on top of the latest technologies and designs in your field.

3. How old are your customers?

It’s a great thing to retain loyal customers, but make sure you are attracting newer and younger customers all the time so your audience doesn’t age with your brand.

4. Moving with market

You need to be constantly ahead of the market and in the mind of your customer.

5. The New Media Age

Get with the times and start using digital platforms to promote and enhance your offering.

 

Web design that makes a splash…

We were tasked with creating a web design for ‘The Lakeland Cottage Company’. The style is very clean and simple allowing the images to do most of the talking… The site has now gone live and they are very pleased with our designs.

The client said, “I am very pleased with the look and functionality. Comments so far are are great – clean site – easiest to use. So all the boxes ticked and many thanks to all at Underscore.”

The loveable duo have returned.

As I am sure you all well know our two loveably chums that are Wallace and Gromit are returning to our screens for one night, and one night only on christmas day to star in yet another magical adveture. This time W&G set up a bakery in the classic tongue and cheek named “A matter of loaf and death”.
But in the meantime the incredible Aardman team have combined forces with the BBC and worked their magic and given us some sneek peek idents into some winter adventures of the tag team duo.
