Polishing off its sixth year, Pick Me Up is a mixed media event that attracts some of the best talent from around the UK to London’s Somerset House, and 2015 proved no different.
The range of artists, illustrators and designers that came together to put on an exhibition with as much varying work as this expresses a mind set that London is best at. That mind set being “never stop making”, because as long as people keep experimenting and creating things they are passionate about, there will always be people and spaces there to support them.
Our designer Chris had these words to share with us:
“As I was wandering around the exhibition I was finally seeing in person the studios and collectives I had followed religiously on social media, particularly Instagram. But seeing people from Hato Press and Peckham Print Studio and experiencing their ideals and attitude in person was something I had to pick out as a favourite.”
