favourite sweetie brand have put together a new website that uses all its social media brand channels together in one central location, by replacing its home page with a live Twitter feed of people talking about the brand.

The site also links to the Skittles Facebook page, its YouTube channel featuring Skittles advertising and its Flickr page of product shots.

Skittles said the site aims to give more control to users, but these social media touchpoints already existed for anyone who wanted to engage with the brand beforehand. So have Skittles pulled off an innovative first here for a consumer-facing brand, or are they just ticking boxes on a Web 2.0 checklist?
