Underscore delivers bold rebrand for Architechs, a Scandinavian IT consultancy.
Architechs is an outsourced yet close-to-business internet platform hosting & maintenance company. Founded by Jan and Ingrid Frydenbø-Bruvoll, their aim is to make IT easier for those customers who have realised the cost and difficulty of keeping an internal IT department at a high standard.
They had very clear values: reliability, creativity, approachability, and value for money. But above all, it was vital to be able to provide a professional service whilst being friendly and approachable at the same time.
Currently Architechs are based in Norway and Switzerland, but their plans to expand quickly will bring them to the UK and then to the rest of Europe.
Providing solutions to their clients is their speciality, however in terms of their communication strategy they needed a little help. After some meetings with strong coffee and some healthy debates we gave them a brand that allows their business to move forwards.
One of the main requirements was to provide a flexible brand. Their services are expanding rapidly, so they needed the flexibility to partner with third-party entities, and they saw Architechs as “an ideas hub and incubator, where sub-brands and collaborations would take place”.
After some serious thinking, the Underscore solution was that Architechs would become the “Foundation for happy technology”.
Our reasoning for this was that “We don’t sell products, we tackle problems. It is a different approach to IT.”
A bright, vibrant yellow was used alongside a series of bespoke icons to add personality to their website and to make their communications more approachable and friendly. Finally, some simple brand guidelines were developed to help them stay ‘on brand’ as they expand their business.
Jan – Aage, the founder says “Just wanted to thank you for the work. It is really inspiring working with you – you have really captured what I want my company to be about, and the way you have put that
into an actual visual presence looks very promising indeed.”
Thanks Jan, we’ve loved working with you too!
